Here are the types of performances that the Lukejazz Duo, Trio, Quartet, or Quintet are suited for:

Cocktail & Dinner Parties/Restaurants

Having a little social gathering and need to add some class? We can do it! If you're gathering is intimate then you might like the guitar/bass duo. More than 30 or 40 people? Consider the trio! (guitar, bass, drums). You're guests will be amazed that you are so musically sophisticated! Want to check out the duo? We play every Sunday from 11-2 for Champagne Brunch at The Landing in downtown Natchitoches.

Festivals/Concerts

We love to play concerts! For this type of performing we draw on dynamic live performing, playing exciting arrangements of bebop, Latin, swing, and popular music standards. Group configuration starts with the trio and then add additional performers as finances allow. Past festival concerts have included the Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival, Bloomin' on the Bricks, and Cane River Green Market as well as Leesville Mayfest, and Shreveport's Barnwell Center "Hot Jazz on the Red" series as well as Spirit's Restaurant/Bar in Alexandria.

Here are some things we're not:

Singers - Nope! No Singing.

Variety/Party band- Nope! Just jazz and jazzy sounding music

Dance Band - Nope! We do play some swing numbers from the 40's but that's about it as far as dance music is conerned. If you want to dance, hire someone else. What songs do we play? Here's our songlist.

What we'll do:

We'll arrive on time, set up our instruments and play some great sounding jazz music. No lights, no sound system or microphones, just jazz music played by some of the best musicians available in this area.
