The Lukejazz Trio is an exciting jazz experience, with a repertoire that consist of jazz standards and originals in the swing, latin and bebop styles.

Each member of the group is a strong soloist in their own right, and each delivers "the goods" whether the tune is a ballad, bossa nova, or hard swingin' bop.

The trio is led by Luke Brouillette, a guitarist with a diverse background, having played in symphony orchestras, rock bands, variety groups, big bands and seemingly everything in between.  Brouillette has kept his focus on jazz for the past 15 years and has a broad repertoire of jazz standards at his command, including a list of original compositions. Luke is a native of Natchitoches, has studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and is the guitar instructor at Northwestern State University.

The drummer in the trio is Sammy Nix, well known veteran of the music industry in Louisiana and beyond. Nix is powerful musical force, having worked professionally as a drummer for more than 45 years and is "first call" for a number of local bands.  Sammy has an interest in a broad range of musical styles and is familiar with all the standards in many styles, as well as jazz.

Bassist Joe Williams is a veteran of jazz performance and brings his swinging style to the Lukejazz Trio.  Joe is best known for his long stint with pianist/educator Art Porter, Sr. from Little Rock Arkansas.
